Cyndi Hooks- Veterinary Techincian

Cyndi graduated from Gaston College's Veterinary Technician program in May 2001. She has a dog named Jasmine and a cat named Mocha. When she's not working she enjoys dancing and spending time with her husband and daughter.


Susan Babinski- Veterinary Assistant

Susan has joined our staff bringing over 30 years of experience in the veterinary field up and down the east coast.  Susan is owned by "Slinky" a rescued min pin cross.  Both are thrilled with their move to Charlotte from Durham.


Erin Pace- Veterinary Assistant

Erin has 2 dogs and 5 rescue cats.  She is a huge sports fan and loves to watch Carolina play basketball.  She has been in the veterinary field for 4 years and has always wanted to work with animals.


Julie Chandler- Veterinary Assistant

Julie has been working in the veterinary field for 14 years.  She has 2 labs, 4 cats, and a blue and gold macaw.  Her labs and Beach trips are very important to her.


Chris Smith- Veterinary Assistant

Chris has been working in the veterinary field for 15 years.  In his spare time he enjoys football, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Paula Moushey- Receptionist

Paula has 10 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her dog Junior, and her parrot Wizard. Paula also enjoys trips to the beach and reading.


Kim Pepper-Smith- Receptionist

Kim, a native of Charlotte, joins our staff with over 10 years experience as a receptionist at a pet ER.  She is blessed with two wonderful teenage daughters, enjoys all aspects of the performing arts, and loves spending time with family and friends.


Ruth Sloan- Kennel Technician

Ruth has 4 dogs (a rotty, a golden, and 2 poms) and 1 cat.  When not working she volunteers with rescue groups in the area.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildern, and is a devoted soccer fan.
