Cyndi Hooks- Veterinary Techincian

Cyndi graduated from Gaston College's Veterinary Technician program in May 2001. She has 2 dogs named Jasmine and Roscoe, and 2 cats named Mocha and Abu. When she's not working she enjoys dancing and spending time with her husband and daughter.


Susan Babinski- Veterinary Nurse

Susan has joined our staff bringing over 30 years of experience in the veterinary field up and down the east coast.  Susan is owned by "Slinky" a rescued min pin cross.  Both are thrilled with their move to Charlotte from Durham.


Julie Chandler- Veterinary Nurse/ Laser Technician

Julie has been working in the veterinary field for over 18 years with a strong interest in chemo therapy and physical therapy.  She has 2 labs, 2 cats, and a blue and gold macaw, and 2 african greys.  In her spare time she enjoys beach trips with her labs and fishing.

Chris Smith- Veterinary Nurse

Chris has been working in the veterinary field for 18 years.  In his spare time he enjoys football, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Amy Kendziora- Veterinary Nurse

Amy joins us with over 6 years of veterinary experience.  She has relocated here from Buffalo, NY with her husband and lab/dane mix Maddox.  In her spare time she enjoys football, hockey, and baseball.

Paula Moushey- Receptionist
Paula has over 12 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her dog Junior, and her parrot Wizard. Paula also enjoys trips to the beach and reading.


Kim Pepper-Smith- Receptionist

Kim, a native of Charlotte, joins our staff with over 10 years experience as a receptionist at a pet ER.  She is blessed with three wonderful daughters, enjoys all aspects of the performing arts, and loves spending time with family and friends.


Ruth Sloan- Kennel Technician

Ruth has 2 pomeranians and 1 cat.  When not working she volunteers with rescue groups in the area.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildern, and is a devoted soccer fan.

Mike Abbate- Kennel Assistant

Mike has been working with animals for 5 years.  He has 2 pound puppies named Moon and Tatonka.  In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, and skateboarding.
