Cyndi Hooks, RVT – Office Manager/Veterinary Technician
Cyndi graduated from Gaston College’s Veterinary Technician program in May 2001. She has 3 dogs named Ava, Roscoe, and Cruella, 3 cats named Mocha, Abu, and Eclipse. When she’s not working she enjoys dancing and spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
Susan Babinski- Veterinary Nurse
Susan has over 35 years of experience in the veterinary field up and down the east coast. Susan is owned by “Bindy” a rescued chihuahua. Ten years working with the best doctors & staff in the biz just makes her look forward to the next ten!
Amy Kendziora- Veterinary Nurse
Amy joins us with over 6 years of veterinary experience. She has relocated here from Buffalo, NY with her husband. She has 2 dogs, Wally and Otis. In her spare time she enjoys football, hockey, and baseball.
Allie Amesbury- Veterinary Nurse
Allie joins us with over 5 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has 2 dogs (Harlow and Riley), and enjoys camping and cooking.
Laura Love – Veterinary Nurse
Laura has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. She is an avid cat lover and Mustang enthusiast. In her spare time she enjoys beach trips, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
Murphy McKee – Veterinary Nurse
Murphy joined our team in June of 2016. She is the mom of 3 dogs, Whinny, Cinch, and Colt, and a horse named Bristol. In her down time she enjoys showing her horse and spending time with her family.
Mallory Ulrich- Veterinary Nurse
Mallory grew up in Matthews and graduated from Butler High School. She then attended Gaston College, where she graduated with an Associates in Science in Veterinary Medical Technology. In her free time she loves being outside, whether it is working in the yard or going for long hikes. She now lives in Harrisburg with her husband, Chad, and their four furbabies, Enzo, Daisy, Tucker, and Honey.
Serena Laney- Vet Assistant
Serena joins our team with 4 years experience. She enjoys playing with her dogs, Rex and Stella. In her spare time she enjoys shopping trips with her mom and spending time with friends.
Mariah Grade- Veterinary Nurse
Mariah joins us with over 7 years experience in the veterinary field. She is a Washington DC native that migrated to the Charlotte area with her family back in 2009. When not at work, she enjoys participating in numerous sports and finding fun things to do around the city. She has a Weimaraner named Mya, and an orange tabby cat named Mangeaux.
Sarah Wright- Veterinary Assistant
Sarah is currently attending Appalachian State University for a bachelor’s degree in Public Health. At home, she has a bloodhound named Forrest and a beagle named Moose. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her dogs and go hiking.
Hailey Woolf – Veterinary Assistant

Mike has been working with animals for over 10 years. He has a poodle named Wheezy. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, and skateboarding.
Paula Moushey- Receptionist
Paula has over 20 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her dog Dallas and her parrot Wizard. Paula also enjoys trips to the beach and reading.
Jessica Blalock- Receptionist
Jessica has been working with animals for over 7 years. She is blessed with a daughter named Rylee and a wonderful husband. She has a dog named Luna. In her spare time she enjoys playing softball, camping, beach trips, and spending time with family and friends.
Gaye Barger- Receptionist
Gaye comes to us with over 10 years experience in the veterinary field (both medical and administrative). She has been married for 32 years, has one daughter and 2 grandchildren. Gaye has three cats; Junebug, Chance, and Fancy. Outside of veterinary medicine (which she loves), she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Rachel joined our team in August of 2019. She has 2 dogs, Nikita and Jasper, who she spends her free time with. She enjoys hiking with her friends when she is not working.
Edison- Patient Liaison
Edison has been a resident of Plantation Animal Clinic since September 2015. He enjoys stealing chairs, greeting patients, playing with toys, and napping on printers. He is aspiring to become a landscaper as he loves “grooming” the plants in the clinic. During his spare time he is often found sitting on occupied carriers or playing in the sink.
