Cyndi Hooks, RVT – Office Manager/Veterinary Technician
Cyndi graduated from Gaston College’s Veterinary Technician program in May 2001. She has 3 dogs named Ava, Roscoe, and Cruella, 3 cats named Mocha, Abu, and Eclipse. When she’s not working she enjoys dancing and spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
Susan Babinski- Veterinary Nurse
Susan has over 35 years of experience in the veterinary field up and down the east coast. Susan is owned by “Slinky” a rescued min pin cross. Ten years working with the best doctors & staff in the biz just makes her look forward to the next ten!
Chris Smith- Veterinary Nurse
Chris has been working in the veterinary field for 18 years. In his spare time he enjoys football, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Amy Kendziora- Veterinary Nurse
Amy joins us with over 6 years of veterinary experience. She has relocated here from Buffalo, NY with her husband. She has 2 dogs, Wally and Otis. In her spare time she enjoys football, hockey, and baseball.
Allie Amesbury- Veterinary Nurse
Allie joins us with over 5 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has 2 dogs (Harlow and Riley), and enjoys camping and cooking.
Mandy Simpson- Veterinary Nurse
Mandy has been working in the veterinary field since 2003. She is the mother of 3 dogs, 2 horses, and a miniature donkey. She enjoys anything outdoors, spending time with her animals, and long trail rides.
Laura Love – Veterinary Nurse
Laura has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. She is an avid cat lover and Mustang enthusiast. In her spare time she enjoys beach trips, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
Murphy McKee – Veterinary Nurse
Murphy joined our team in June of 2016. She is the mom of 2 dogs, Whinny and Cinch, and a horse named Bristol. In her down time she enjoys showing her horse and spending time with her family.
Serena Laney- Vet Assistant
Serena joins our team with 4 years experience. She enjoys playing with her dogs, Rex and Stella. In her spare time she enjoys shopping trips with her mom and spending time with friends.
Meredith Bellina- Vet Assistant
Meredith is currently a college student and plans on studying Veterinary Medicine in the near future. She has two cats named Kuro and Clarice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, friends, and family.
Emma Bieghtol- Vet Assistant
Emma is a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is currently studying biology. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes including her dog, a lab-great Dane mix named Roy. She has a passion for animals and is striving to pursue a future career as a Veterinarian.
Mike Abbate- Kennel Manager
Mike has been working with animals for 5 years. He has a pound puppy named Tatonka, and a poodle named Wheezy. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, and skateboarding.
Paula Moushey- Receptionist
Paula has over 20 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her dog Dallas and her parrot Wizard. Paula also enjoys trips to the beach and reading.
Jessica Blalock- Receptionist
Jessica has been working with animals for 7 years. She is blessed with a daughter names Rylee and a wonderful husband. She has 2 dogs named Karli and Luna. In her spare time she enjoys playing softball, camping, beach trips, and spending time with family and friends.
Gaye Barger- Receptionist
Gaye comes to us with over 10 years experience in the veterinary field (both medical and administrative). She has been married for 32 years, has one daughter and 2 grandchildren. Gaye has three cats; Junebug, Chance, and Fancy. Outside of veterinary medicine (which she loves), she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Edison- Patient Liaison
Edison has been a resident of Plantation Animal Clinic since September 2015. He enjoys stealing chairs, greeting patients, playing with toys, and napping on printers. He is aspiring to become a landscaper as he loves “grooming” the plants in the clinic. During his spare time he is often found sitting on occupied carriers or playing in the sink.
